Redesigning Kenya’s public transport with women in mind

Overview

Women globally, including 88% in Kenya, endure alarming rates of sexual harassment on public transport. FLONE Initiative, founded by social entrepreneur Naomi Mwaura in 2013, seeks to address this issue by redesigning public transport systems. By empowering more women and focusing on factors like bus routes, schedules, and incident tracking, FLONE is transforming Kenya’s minibuses industry for the better. Join us on February 8th to hear about Naomi’s inspiring journey and learn about FLONE’s impactful initiatives.

We envision a world where everyone is able to experience all freedoms of mobility.
